Sarah Ratchye's paintings, drawings, and sculptures have been exhibited in Australia and America. Recently, two shows in California, For Your Love, in San Francisco, and Ornamentation, in San Jose, featured her work. Ratchye earned a BA with Honors in printmaking from Carnegie Mellon University. In 2005 Ratchye began working toward her MFA at the San Francisco Art Institue, where she received a Fellowship in Painting. Ratchye's imagery-dense, realistic paintings portray the transcendental natures of space exploration and sexuality. She has been active in the San Francisco Bay Area art community as a curator and on several non-profit boards. Ratchye lives and works in Northern California.
