Wallpapers interest me because they have been marginalized as decoration and because the techniques of design, repetition, and realization are similar to classic realist painting techniques. With the "WalpApr en th' MoonlIt" series, I bring wallpapers into the realm of fine art. The wallpaper becomes the beautiful landscape over which the full moon shines. I am interested in what is natural or real, the object or scene or a painting of the scene. Which is more valuable, more comfortable?
